Has anyone had any luck with military field phones, and if so, is the amount of gold worth it?

If it’s military there’s some gold for sure. Old phones are great finds if they are the mid 1900’s black brick type that you can unscrew the handsets for a gold button! There’s plenty still sitting around needing to be rescued!
Depends on how old, and what type. Generally, 1935-1970 field phones have very little in precious metals, but if in working or easily repairable condition, can be worth quite a bit to collectors.
Later issues, roughly the late seventies to early nineties can be worth tearing down, in many cases.
