Hello from Thornton, Colorado!

My name is Hutch, I am 25 years old in the vendor/logistics sales industry.

I've been metalworking for about 3 years now, starting with a project for making my now-wife's wedding band after mining for gold with a friend on his claim in the Rockies. Definitely more of a jeweller as a hobby than a refiner, but always love learning new information about it!

Welcome, I see you already have a lot of advice in your other thread.

If you plan to do any chemical work I suggest you study this:

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/forums/safety.47/
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/threads/dealing-with-waste.10539/
