hi everyone, with googling around the internet , you find that one can use formaldehyde for precipitating gold, but i cannot find any pattent or procedure for this purpose, is there anyone to describe some please?!
kind regards

Formaldehyde is very carcinogenic, I don't know if it can be done but don't see any benefits using it since you will have to deal with waste.
Is there any reason that you don't want to use smb, iron sulfate, or other less toxic methods to precipitate your gold ?

I understand but just because you can doesn't mean that you should.
Definitely study how to deal with the waste before you try it.
As far as accessibility goes if you can get sulfuric acid and iron, you can make something that will precipitate gold and there's plenty of instructions if you search the forums.
Personally I would cement the gold with copper if you have trouble finding the right chemicals where you live.
There's several different ways to precipitate gold with very good instructions on this forum as well.
