All my Refining Equipment and Chemicals were taken from me by numerous agencies here in California on January 31st 2023. The Trinity County Sheriff, Bureau of Land Management, Trinity County Environmental, US Marshals, Department of Building and Planning and Trinity County Code Enforcement to name only some of them.
I was not arrested or even given a ticket, just a Search Warrant that had no probable cause given I received one hour and thirty one minutes after I walked out of my house and asked to see the warrant the first time and was told (and I Quote); "I don't know where it is." and the second time, 15 minutes later, I was told; "They'll get it.".
Once I finely got the Warrant in my hands I still could not figure out what they were looking for after reading it. It was finely explained to me they were looking for trees that had been cut down somewhere five or six miles away......and it just so happened we had some logs in our driveway that had been collected off the side of the road where the Fire Protection Crew have been clearing out the down, burned and dead trees and undergrowth for months.
One of the boys figured it was no problem because it all will be burned in a controlled manor anyway, so why not take it for fence building and started back in June of 2022 getting poles. He took seven or eight big ones to mill planks out of the burn pile just above our property around January 15th, and the last ones he got.
Now I knew why they were at my house. They thought they were the trees that had been cut down, but the stumps will not match the logs, I know this for a fact.
After my shed with all my stuff related to Recovery of gold and other metals in all respects, some chemicals I have been slowly acquiring since 2018 onward used for medical reasons along with others used for some research projects for several products I have been rolling around in my head, skin care products if you can believe that and yes I have to admit that I had the chemicals to make black powder, fuses, tubes and colors for fireworks but that's not illegal unless you have more than 50 pounds of made compositions combined and/or any completed firework stored. I had less than 4 pounds of black powder and no fireworks made. I even intended to get my license from ATF and had the paperwork to that end hanging in the shed as well. All perfectly legal to buy, own and use.
I had a very good reason, as a matter of fact, to make fireworks.
You see, my father, as I walked past the opened front door of my parents house off on some job or another, loudly said; "FLUSH'EM DOWN THE TOILET FOR ALL I CARE!" and that got my attention because I do all the work around the place, so I turned around and went inside and asked; "Wait wait wait....WHAT are we flushing down the toilet?" My mother said; "We were just talking about what to do with his ashes." My father had terminal cancer and was looking at only two or three years left, and probably not good ones. (they weren't) I didn't like that at all, not one bit so I said; "HELL NO....I'm going to put some of your ashes in firework stars and shoot them into the sky on a rocket.". Dad looked at me, smiled and said; "I like the sound of that." so without hesitation I asked him what color he wanted and he told me Green. My response to him, as always, was "will do." and then my wife, who was sitting there the whole time, meekly said; "I wana be Stars too." I asked what color and she picked purple, so I promised it will be done as they both wished. I'm a man of my word and now I was committed.
one year and twenty days after my father passed away on my birthday, I lost everything. My Wife, my best friend and my soulmate went to sleep next to me and never woke up. No warning, just gone.
We met when she was 14 and I was 17 and dated for about 6 months until I turned 18 and her mother was not going to allow it anymore and moved the family to Texas. Eighteen years later she found me. We both had gotten married to someone else in the same year and divorced in the same year over a thousand miles away from each other. I never got over loosing her actually, and it was obvious when I saw her for the first time in all those years. We never were apart after that day, excluding work in and out of town or state of course. We were perfect together and some people couldn't stand it.....we were too happy. Kathryn, my wife, about twelve years ago became an Ordained Minister because she loved to help people and thought it would help her have something more on her side than just me. I just thought you should know, but I don't know why.
I did as they both wished and made the skyrockets, and mortar shells too, and have not made anything else since. I wanted to launch one for each of them on their birthdays but I missed her last one......and now I can't do it at all because her stars with her ashes in them were taken by the powers that be, they didn't find my fathers, mom had them hidden well. Anyway, I digress.
After finding the shed the accusations, assumptions and cut-and-dry statements and threats started.
They told me I had all I needed to make Meth and High Explosives, that shocked me! I have no idea what's needed to make Meth but some idea of what not to put together to avoid inadvertently creating a dangerous and/or unstable substance. I asked; "do I?" and the officer quickly ran off a list of stuff, most of which I missed, until I heard "Red Phosphorous" at which point I stopped him and told him; "nope...no way. I have never bought that, I don't own any and have never used it for any reason. I don't know what your looking at but it can't be red phosphorus, there is not any on the property and never has been as far as I know."
For hours I could hear them saying those words to each other and every time I would tell them to stop saying that as there wasn't any here. Several times they asked me how long I had been making Meth and when was the last time I blew something up.
Then it dawned on me.....they were looking at a ziplock bag I had with some thermite I had made about 4 years ago experimenting with heating up large rocks and dousing them with cold water to shatter them. I had gotten mixed results but in the long run it was too expensive, and too dangerous to use in the summer, so I stopped any more work in that direction. Iron oxide, rust that is and some aluminum powder, that was it.
Approximately seven hours later I was handed an Inventory Report that was Incomplete with only about 60% of the items listed, a statement on the bottom I Quote here; "Inventory ended. the remainder of the items are used to Manufacture Explosives and Fireworks. All items where released to Trinity County Environmental to be transported and stored properly. Officer safety issue." NOT ALLEGED to manufacture but ARE used.
For crying out loud, the only black powder and stars I had were in sealed plastic containers, with the stars inside of a separate metal containers or Ammo Cans, and all was placed inside an explosion proof US Army issue case. All nitrate oxidizers had been stored in a water and explosion proof Army Ordinance Container. All acids were inside the original containers and inside additional plastic bags Everything was safely stored and labeled here.
I never even opened or used around 50% or more of the items they took.
I own 5 sluice boxes and 4 dredges from 3 inch to 5 inch, several different rock crushers, blue bowls, spiral wheels. 8 gold pans, a set of 9 classifying screens and several more home made ones, an electric Smelting furnace and a fairly large gas furnace and a Hammer and a Coring Drill and Bits in my trunk. I even have some partially processed gold that needs some work, it has other metal that needs to go away. Plus I have a lot of other tools and materials and three or four tons of unprocessed fines that support my reasons for owning what I did. But they refused to believe me.
What I am trying to impress on you here with my story is that no matter how safe you feel you have been and how "prepared and ready for anything" you think you are, there is always a chance something so unimaginable and out of left field can suddenly jump up and destroy anything and everything it wants to for no reason whatsoever and there is nothing you can or could have done to make preparations or diffuse the "Bomb" (couldn't help it) about to blow up in your face because you don't even know it's there until it's too late.
For myself, for reasons too numerous to count or even begin to touch upon, I am 60 years old, I have no savings or retirement of any kind and due to identity theft I knew nothing about for 12 years throughout the 80's I will have very little in social security due me as the government simply wiped out my work history for those twelve years and all I paid into it, I'll receive $435.00 a month, but in reality I can't afford a lawyer or have anyone to help me get one, so I an most likely going to spend the rest of my life in prison for something I did not do or even entertain doing. The videos show why. Dad would have loved this one over the lake and Kathy's Stars over the Pacific would have put that smile on her face she used like a weapon against me when ever I was having a bad day, cutting right through it.
The only thing I am guilty of is keeping a promise to my Father and my dear Wife, for that I have no regrets, I am also guilty of trusting and believing that "the powers that be" would actually listen, see and trust in the truth. I own it all excluding the Meth and Explosives' garbage. so, if you believe in good luck throw a little in my direction, as it appears that If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
