PVC suitability?

I've been experimenting with HCl+H2O2 (thanks Steve) for stripping circuit boards. Obviously this produces a host of mixed colloidal metals. I have an idea for a device to simplify the separation and washing of these metals. My question is How suitable is PVC for making this prototype? How well will it hold up to acids and metal clorides?

OK, I googled it. For the most part it is resistant to acids and clorides. Does anyone here have any experience using PVC in contact with strong solutions? Is it working out OK?

I have no experience, but I would be worried about hot acids, melting the PVC causing a nasty mess..

This wouldn't be for hot acids. I would use it to clean up sludge from circuit boards stripped with the A/P process. The smaller pipes would be cpvc the largest would be schedule 40 PVC. It would see nothing hotter than very hot tap water. The acid/peroxide would be in contact with it from the sludge. Perhaps dilute HCl in the washing process. Never with A.R or Nitric.

WOW, that is very informative. Only a couple things that concern me now. Too much chlorine or strong sulfuric acid.

CPVC has better chemical resistance at higher temperatures.

some types of plastics disolve in chlorine with oxidizers even cool.
