Sometimes you just have to leave them alone. The reality is that it may not be worth your time removing them. I could spend 75 hours scraping dog sh*t from the back yard but that doesn’t mean it has any more value because of my time invested. I scrap them all. Stock up and run it some...

E-waste scrap in chemical to be processed

AP may leave some CuCl as mud and other crap. Add HCl and filter out any solids. The Gold will be in the solids. If you have used Nitric there can be Metastannic acid which is a nightmare to filter. The Gold from this, will be in these solids. How much material are you processing?

Can I use ap solution to depopulate

I've been recovering and refining for about 6 years now. I can promise you that a decent percentage of the videos on you tube are either misleading, or steps are left out, or are not logical, as far as some are completely bs. Read hokes book, I'm sure you can find it on this forum with ease.

...that significantly. Be sure not to spill any on your hands. It is a very good solvent tho, capable of disintegrating many resins and swelling plastics - so useful for processing e-waste in some ways. But you need to use good fume hood, wear proper PPE and dispose the organic waste responsibly.

Not sure if this is right place

"Here's another place I think I would want to deviate from the standard. So after my roasted stored copper anode slimes hit a critical mass, I would stir the dry mixture to homogenity, then take a weighed sample, use a measured amount of lead as a collector metal and cupel it in a cupel cup from...

Not sure if this is right place

Some advice I will give you: start small! small messes to clean up, small losses if something goes bad, and only scale up if you have the basics down. do not scale up too much in one go! Big furnaces have completely other challenges than small ones. Do a proper risk assesment. > you need...

Is it worth a hobby refiner to refine karat scrap

That depends solely on you and your contacts. What is the price if your scrap, what is your chemical costs, how do you price your time and so on. Can you sell karat higher than bought, can you sell fine Gold at premium prices and so on. There is little if any PGMs in karat scrap. But Silver may...

Reverse electroplating gold of copper base

...off the anode, freeing the gold, so a battery charger should work fine. Be ready for the charger to overheat, I've had them catch fire on a short. The anode bubbles can also throw up a fine acid mist laden with heavy metal ions, so I'd use a good fume hood setup, or a secondary container.
