BAQUACIL is 28% Hydrogen peroxide and if you google alternative to Baquacil you will find
cheaper Hydrogen peroxide as swimming pool sanatizer.
I't will burn your flesh like fried chicken skin. Back in my younger days I built swimming pools and cut up my hands alot tying rebar.
one day I got a bright idea to clean my cuts with it. Water just made it react more.

A good reminder that many of the chemicals advocated for use here can seriously harm you if you're not careful.

It's good that people share their bad experiences as well as the good ones in hope that others don't make the same mistake.

well here is mine bad exp. with high % h202
after a greate deal of searching i found a place where i could buy some in a 5l. bottle , so i took a black plastic bag and the bottle and throgh it in my car. i found i had spilled some on the carpet and started to clean up

all was white and BURNING this is some dagerous stuff :!:

i was realy glad that white stains came off after a few houres

be sure to read the msds sheets on any chemicals you deal with.

Hokay, here is where I fly in from another planet.
I drink 35% H2O2! I have done so for years. I use hot tub cleaner from our health store.
Essentially, it oxygenates. Viruses do not survive an oxygenated atmosphere. In the market where I am, we see hundreds of people every day. Some got colds, flu like symptoms, and some are just plain walking dead.
I started taking H2O2 for distinct health reasons. I do not do Drs.
One year after taking the H2O2 protocol, I was, and am symptom free to this day.
To see what I am saying, look up on search '"hydrogen peroxide drink"
There is a distinct protocol for this. It appears to have been a remedy at the turn of the century with results.
Not the stuff in the brown bottles. That has zinc chloride for preservative. I mean high test! Get a drop on you, and you do not usually do it again. My wife, however had a boil that would reappear year after year. I dug it out, dropped in a couple of drops of 35% H2O2, and it is gone. It has been three years since I did that, and she has not had a reoccurrence.
Before anyone here drinks H2O2, do read the protocol. Doing it wrong, it lets you know, real quickly.
I won't go into details and I am just piping in. The site can explain better.
See, H2O2 is not just for jewelery, or hot tubs. Always verify information.
I have done it, and it works.
Be gentle with me, I just joined.

Nope, I froze my teeth when I was living in the bush in Alaska. They froze and shattered in the jaw.
After that, untill they went bye-bye, nothing short of ceramic made them remotely white.
I gave up prospecting. Too much risk for too little return.

I get 35% hydrogen peroxide as wood bleach.

this brand [img:200:285]http://www.rockler.com/rockler/images/55772.jpg[/img]

Comes with two solutions one 35% H2O2 the other dilute sodium hydroxide solution. Use litmus paper to determine which is which.

It wasn't cheap but I needed it it cost about $15.00 at Anawalt (hardware store) if your desperate you can boil down 3% to 1/10 the volume at 80-90C degrees.
