Couldn't handle leaving the 386 blue socket on the mother board as I was processing some boards. I re-flowed 3 sockets from the boards and am slowly removing the pins from the plastic housing.

11 grams here in this picture, but still another 11 or so in the housing = 22 total / 3 boards so around 7.3 grams per board.

Are the 386 sockets just as rich as the chips ? They are super super blingy.

The Pentium one and some 486 sockets will have the same type in your photo or a silver colored pin with two gold 'leaves' in the hollow of the pin.

These items are all plated with gold if they appear gold colored. They are a lot of work to manually harvest but harvesting them by hand makes for a very clean recovery. Be sure to keep track of starting weights for the entire socket, the extracted pin weight, and the final gold yields for your lab records.
