Possible motive - fiat currency once again nearing the end of its useful life cycle and the bankers needed some help in keeping fiat alive.

This is not the place for conspiracy theories. There are many other places for that. But if I was going to talk conspiracy theory (which I am not) I might mention that Morgan Stanley was salvaged from over $1,000,000,000 in bad deriviate contracts by 9/11. But I simply do not believe that Morgan Standley hired a group of Middle Eastener guys to bring down the twin towers. A does not necessarily equal B, and saying that Morgan Stanley profitted from 9/11 is really pushing it. So please leave the conspiracy stuff for elsewhere.
