Aerogels are very light solids.
So what is your angle here?
I do not think they are practical in refining or recovery if that is what you mean?

This has been discussed several times on the forum. It's an alternative for active carbon to capture dissolved gold from a leaching process or AR.
You still need to dissolve gold first somehow.

Is it cheaper?
Is it easier to use?
Does it present fewer problems with gold not dropping?
Does it drop cleaner gold?
