Hi guys, I reworked 10 Amd K-5 (gold top and bottom ) . My finsh product is 1g of 24k pure gold. Only 1gram ? Really? How much u guys have with amd k5 ? I have more amd k5 and Intel Pentium (gold top and bottom) and I wondering with selling them. ( last time I refined 20 amd normal ceramic and I have normal 0,75g of gold, but sorry , amd k5 only 0,1g per piece? ) . What were your results with amd k5 and Intel Pentium (big top gold). Why does it matter what others get from their processing? This question is asked so many times. Why would i buy material to refine based on someones else's recovery? It ONLY matters what i am able to get from the material i am doing.

All of this depends on your experience, equipment, working conditions and other variables. Never ever buy material based on someone else's yield data. It seems like you are unhappy with your results. You think they should be better, someone else may get better results but, they may have a better lab, better equipment, or, are just outright a better refiner.

Be happy with what you got and base your buying around your results and you will succeed.

I see you are new to the forum so here is a warning - using text lingo is strictly forbidden on this forum & is reason for being ban :!:

The reason for this is because of the technical nature of what we do & due to the fact that people from all over the world - people that do not speak English - & therefor need to use translator programs to read the forum need their translator program to properly translate what is posted here

Again - because of the technical nature of what we do - wrong translation by a translator program could lead to real problems & dangerous results for members that need to use such programs --- so we have a zero tolerance for using text lingo on this forum

If you mean to say you - spell it out you - not u :!:

Also be sure to use spell check before posting --- for the very same reason :!:

Other then that - as a new member have you down loaded & read Hokes book yet ? --- if not here is a link to the down load  http://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798 --- this book is required reading for new members

Here are 3 other links you should read if you have not yet read them

I just saw this list today http://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=21794#p226320
Where Tzoax got 1.3 g from 7 K5 or 0.185g/CPU.That you got a different result can come from several sources.
- Various refinements in the manufacturing process means that the amount of gold per CPU could vary.
- Losses on the way from CPU to final refined gold. Hold up in filters, liquids going to stock pot.
- Not extracted all gold there is.

Is the die loose from the ceramics? Have you tested leaching the solids again? Have you tested your liquids for any left over gold? Any sediments that sinking slowly?

If you don't get any gold from additional leaches of the solids then you probably got all. Any gold went into the liquid phase. If the left over liquids and filters are barren too, then you probably got all that was there.

As I'm only refining for my self currently I'm not that worried about lost gold. I get it in the stock pot or in the filter pile when I process that. So far I've had approximately 2% of my gold going to the stock pot (running small batches). the smaller the batches are the larger the relative losses are.

I hope this can be some help for you.
