The Last Best Place...
Hello Folks,

Ok so I meet up with this cat who says he has some 'computer stuff' to
get rid of. A picture of what I got from him is below. He was firm at
$15.00. I normally don't pay anything but I just had to on this one...

A close-up of the CPUs...

Of the twelve CPUs in the picture above I singled out the thirteenth one
to show you the top and bottom, it's a beauty...

Perhaps I paid to much but I just had to grab the stuff to experiment with.
This was a total of 3.04 lbs. of memory cards and the CPUs weighed in at
.93 lbs. or 420 g. . I am just stoked over this... I thought I would share.

I think you did great! I wish I could come across a find like that. I'm like you, I don't pay for the scrap that I pickup either, but I would have gladly paid $15 for that lot! Have fun processing them.

A basic guideline for us that would have no idea at what we were looking at.

This helps.

Would I spend the time and effort to collect these for a $15 return. I would say you got the better end of the deal just based on that.

The memory can sell for $45.00 and the CPU's might sell for $70 - $100.

I would say you did well. 8)

Oh, darn, I didn't see this post quick enough.....

I would have offered evL an IMMEDIATE profit of $10, PLUS pay the shipping!...... 8)

Hello Folks,

I am glad to hear you enjoyed the story. I simply could not believe it when
this guy said, "Now I'll take no less than $15.00", because I of course was
trying to go lower. Suddenly realized I'd better get while the getting was
good.

And I want to respond to the comment made by user DONNZ, yes, it is nice
to have a guideline of what your looking at. From looking at other pics on
this Forum is exactly why in viewing this 'find' made my skin crawl. That is
why this Forum is such a great tool.

I am new at this as well. So while I am learning, reading, and watching. I
figured I might start looking for "scores" to facilitate my end goals in the
mean time.

I don't know what I am going to do with the boards that I posted in this post ::
http://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=13987
Because come to find out after scratching off the 'green' stuff these whole boards
are gold like the exposed traces. Like as a copper board, only not copper. I thought
the gold traces were all there was to them. So those puppy's need to take a bath
whole.
