Dear All,
Greetings.. I am new comer to this site.
I am working in a jewelry form as a senior manager Productions manufacturing 9-18 Yellow & white Gold, Platinum Palladium & silver jewelry of studded & plain variety.
We do a lot of plating of white & yellow gold jewelry. As most of our jewelry is wax set ( stone in cast), we have to perform a stripping process by Sodium Cyanide our cast pieces after castings. This give a clean look below the diamonds & removes any blackened stones or surface if any below or on the diamond seat caused duet to high heat during castings.
Can anybody guide me as to if there is any other alternative chemical, that we can use for stripping other than sodium Cyanide,???.
As I am very scared of using this chemical & as well as storing this chemical in our factory premises as I am not comfortable to storing Sodium Cyanide as it may get misused by others while handling.
Awaiting for your response,
Best regards,
Prakash Pai
