Andode failure

Ladies and gents - any ideas? I am running a conventional gold electro winning circuit - in the last 12 months our anode failure has climbed significantly. Can't find anything special, currents are normal, pH control is excellent - scrapings from the anodes show high levels of chrome? I can't work out why the are failing so much more often?

I assume you're talking about a cyanide solution using carbon anodes? High chlorides, maybe?
