The gold plated top is obviously of some value. The central core epoxy area is where the remainder of the gold is in fine wire form and plated copper traces.

If you have a quantity of these, you could have some decent yields; likely between 0.5 - 1.0 gram per pound.

The solder on the balls is usually a silver alloy.

Thanks Steve. I think I have 6 or 7 pounds of them. Was going to sell them on e-bay, but had no idea if they were worth anything or not.
