Aqua regia error

Help,
One of the guys working for me was doing the Aqua regia process and decided not to test the ph and just precipatate by eye.the gold did not all drop After putting zinc. I was wondering if I bring up the ph now that I good release the gold or is it all lost.

Edited because no longer applicable. SMB not zinc.

Sorry want thinking dropped with smb got 6 grams but we know for sure it was more like 40 gram
