Hello all. Is it possible to store unprecipitated gold solution for any given time before I plan on precipitating it?

It's stable as HAuCl4. Light will slowly decompose it to metallic gold, not that it would matter much.

Just make sure there are no nitrates and it's not an aqua regia solution or the bottle might build up gas!

Word og advice, and I am speaking from experience. It is better to try picking up solid gold after it spills than trying to wipe up liquid gold.

I've had the same "known gold" solution that I use to test my stannous for over 2 years.
