Hello everybody, I was here before. I somehow lost my passwords and could not get back into my account, so I just went ahead and made a new one. Anyway, I know you're not supposed to really talk about ore on here unless your geologist which I'm not. However I do have ore, it's fairly decent it is platinum gold silver and iron in various ore I have. I'm going to post a picture with this so you can see what I've created I'm not very good at this apparently and I I just need some help. I have read the book did not make a whole lot of sense of it or at least I don't fully grasp it you'll see in the picture

You can speak about ores here, but please don't start with "I have 500 ozs. per ton PGM's which I found on the beach in Florida". Please back up your statements by paperwork from a reasonably well documented lab . Ore is defined as an assembly of minerals which can be mined, milled, and sold for a profit. You need to back that up, or you will get severely mentally beaten. What book are you referring to? Pictures are minimally helpful. Sometimes I have to read whatever book I am reading, 3-4 times, for it to start making sense. Especially technical papers. And please don't use " I used an XRF hand held device on my sulphides" as your absolute assay. 420 kids have to read the books even more times then the non 420 kids.

Don't let all these grumpy old guys get your bong in a bunch. Set down your blunt and tell us where your sample came from.

It looks like slag from a melt. If so, it doesn't mean it's not valuable.

The forum works best if you disclose your experience level, provide the source of your material, what you've done to it so far and what your endgame is ( like assay, recover, refine, sell the material, make a treasure map or brass bars to sell on eBay). Whatever it is, this forum will spare you a ton of misery.

They call it a "fever" when it's too high and the antibiotic may be a bitter pill to swallow, but these Doctors know best.

Hope I helped.

As Dreamer wrote - it looks like some indeterminate metallic slag to me. We need far more information on the source of the material and why you expect it to contain precious metals.

Well I won't tell you the exact origin I will tell you it came out of Washington State where there is gold platinum silver as well as many other things

When they speak of Origin they need more, like an abandoned mine, an area where they used to have a foundry, an old slag pile, in a valley along a river, the new river along St. Helen, along a fault line, next to a known deposit etc.No one expects you to say "the State Park on the corner of Main and Parkland".

Also, what have you done to the material? Like assayed, examined under microscopy, XRF, leached with acid and stannous tested etc.

Right, wrong or unsure. It doesn't matter. They just need something that helps rules in or rules out precious metals. What makes you believe or suspect it may have any value ?

Finally, what would you like to do with your material?

The members will guide you to informed sober answers to your questions.

Happy New Years.

Found on private property just off the Jordan river relatively close to at least two mines one of which produces another ore all together. I have put in a chlorine solution and have produced crystals which I then melted to produce tiny gold BBs the only problem I had was trying to separate my iron from it. I would like to get an assay as I am of the belief that I also have platinum.also I have found a few Placer metals, all of which were silver in color. I would like to verify then get rid of the ore. I do not wish to process it.
