how about a broader view.
Google the part number and see if you can get the manufacturers specs or something like that. Because with the picture you posted, and probably any picture you could take of it, all anyone can do is guess. Unless they have processed these before.
Guess I'll ask some questions that anyone who may be able to help will need to know. How many do you have? If it's several pounds then it would be worth sending s few off to have a test done, or you can try doing a test batch yourself. Are you sure it's an IC? Resistor packs and transistor packages can sometimes look like IC's.
