Hello I'm a new-be. I just want to say thanks to every one that made this web site. My question is I soaked about 6oz of gold plated steel pins in 1 gallon of hcl for two weeks. I then started to use hcl-cl method to refine the powder,I got about half of it to go in. then I started again whith 1 cup hcl and quarter cup of bleach pored it sloe it toke about 3 mints to poor it all in I did not know how slow to poor it. At first it started to change color like it is suppose to. I left and came back it was clear again. what did I do wrong? I started out with about 1oz of black mud. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

1stly, you didn't say but I assume all
the steel dissolved, as much as it is strange.
2ndly, according to what you said don't
expect even 1g of gold
3rdly, it seems that you have copper
or nickel below the gold. To check
either add some ammoniak carefully
