They most probably contain some silver along the copper i see inside the wire, if you can really pile a whole lot of them maybe it's worth testing or doing a research.
 
Are these capacitors? Old capacitors can have palladium alloyed with silver and other precious metals depending on type.
 
These are polyswitch resettable fuses, also known as positive-temperature coefficient fuses.

Generally, I've seen several types of components made of a wad of homogenously mixed particles compressed into a pellet, through which electricity is meant to pass. To connect wires to the pellet, they put a thin metallization of metal on either side of the pellet. This metallization is sometimes silver. (it often looks like silver, I only tested rarely)
