Hi.

Lazersteve uses hydrochloric acid and Clorox to dissolve the gold, I have a similar measure for Clorox but the composition differs somewhat.

Clorox have :

Sodium hypochlorite
Sodium chloride
Sodium carbonate
Sodium hydroxide
Sodium polyacrylate

My fluid similar to Clorox:
Sodium carbonate
Sodium hydroxide
Sodium hypochlorite

You are looking for Sodium Hypochlorite(chlorine).Any houshold bleach will work fine, unless the sodium hypochlorite is less then 3%.I have had problems with that in the past,so look at the percentage on the side of the bottle. Also any "normal" pool chlorine will work, but you need to dilute it 50/50 with water,or the sulfur dioxide fumes will be very overwhelming, but since this should always be done in a hood there should be no fume problem.Make sure you do not purchase the eco-friendly chlorine substitute.
