Changes to UK legislation on puurchasing nitric acid

Please note that with effect from 2 September 2014, new UK Legislation has come into effect that restricts the sale of Nitric Acid in strengths higher than 3% to the general public within the UK.
Essentially it will become an offence for a member of the public to acquire or import any of the regulated substances without holding a valid licence issued by the Home Office.
Sales to Limited Companies will not be affected, but all companies will be subject to standard routine due diligence checks, including completion of a Declaration of Use. Please note our due diligence checks may result in a slight delay in despatch of your order.

Two years for possession. Sounds like a DEA infraction here. So you can't legally make AR solution in EU without a license after that date. Heads up guys on this side of the pond. I want to say so much about this but politics are forbidden on the forum.

Only a matter of time before you need a special government permit to wipe your butt. Already need special holding tanks and permits to poop in the rural areas of Iowa.
They say it is about a clean environment but one has to question that when you see the farm chemicals being sprayed constantly from the air and the run off from animal concentration facilities. :|

It's all about money. Big money can control the rules/legislation process while the little guy gets the squeeze.

You can spray whatever you want if your a big agri-industry "farm", pump cancer causing chemicals in the ground to frack for gas, but you can't get permit to put a septic tank/field on your rural property.

Same for this kind of rule. A small amount that can't be used for much of anything is illegal, but with a fake company setup and pay for the permits and you can order enough to do some real damage.

This is what was done in the first attack on the World Trade center. A dummy company was setup and permits were issued so they could order and have delivered to this fake companies storage locker large quantities of the materials they used.
