Those look like capacitors, hard to see picture, the bottom can type is an electrolytic capacitor, rolled aluminum foil and a paste electrolyte in a metal can.
There were some older capacitors that contained silver, like the dog bone type (hard brown shell), and there were old electrolytic type gray with a red stripe (those were always going bad in circuits).
I am not sure whether those you have any silver or not (at this point I doubt they do), but you could test for silver in them, to test I would crush cover in HNO3 in a test tube add a little HCL or salt and watch for white silver chloride to form (cloudy liquid or precipitant).
