Hello all,
I have been refining on and off for about a decade now. More gold then silver but, have switched it the other way around now days.
I ccurrently live in Virginia which doesnt have a whole lot of places to pan or prospect, but every now and again ill see a spot and pull off to have a look and a shake of the ol pan.
I consider myself novice in this, and look forward to learning as much as i can about all aspects of refining precious metals.
I currently refined about a kilo of Sterling and cemented it out of solution. I melted about 10 grams of the powder silver and it made a beautiful button. Can't wait to smelt all the rest.
I did post a picture of my crucible in the silver forum as I am unclear as to what the rainbow is in it after I took the button out and the crucible cooled.
Look forward to learning from everyone here. Cheers yall!!!
