Hey guys/gals, I haven't posted in a while and thought you might like these. I found 54 identical boards in some communication equipment last night in a d-dive. Lots of gold fingers along with other stuff. The connectors have pins that are about 3 1/2 inches long. The red NEC's have what appears to be plated contacts inside them. The one single red switch I usually find gold inside but these look silver? Anyways best wishes, Andrew

I'm a little confused. I know that if you soak circuit board edge connectors in an AP solution, the metals underneath the gold will be dissolved leaving the gold plating behind. How does the AP solution get under the fingers shown in this thread? Do you have to rough up one side of each finger?

Just curioous.

What are you calling Card edge connectors and what are you calling fingers ?????

It seemes to me that you are talking about the same thing ;;

be sure and scratch the green board and see if under the green solder mask is copper or Gold plated..
