i also have a bin full of agp/pci with fingers already cut off so a bin full of cards with no fingers all the phone boards have been stripped ready for refining so all the hard work has been done for you

Hello, I live in Minnesota and the safety risks are not worth doing the refining for me. I did think this was pretty cool to get gold from computer scrap, since one of my jobs is to pick up and dispose of medical equipment. I always would sell my board, and was happy with the prices. Thought it would be fun to try and recover the gold myself. It is fun and I recovered 6g. Not a lot, but I got results. I have all the supplies in my garage, and one of the helpful things I have learned here, is that when the hydrochloric acid bottle is open, the fumes will start to eat away at any metal within 20 ft! I did not know this. I thought the cap was on tight enough. The other part is getting rid of the waste, I have read alot on how to put copper in the first waste to get the PM's out then take that liquid and put steel/iron in it to cement out the copper. But you have to bring up the PH first. I did not really understand and don't have a PH meter. Then I think you have to do another step even after that.
Anyways, I appreciated everyone's help here. Is there a market here to sell my used supplies and equipment? Thank you. Rick
