Hi guys,
I'm new here. I have a question if I may?

In theory, Is it possible to grind electronic waste (such as processors, motherboards etc...) with low end grinder, and then use low end gold separator to extract gold from it? How much would such equipment cost?

Thank you very much,

btw
Love this forum. It's wonderful.

Electronics is the lowest yielding material for gold outside of natural ore. The gold you see in electronics is plating. As far as I know, solid karat gold is not used in electronics outside of something like missile guidance or other munitions for the military. There is no machine on the market or turnkey process where you add printed circuit boards on one end and gold bars come out the other end.

Except for bond wires in chips. Those are pure gold.

In YouTube, take a look at Mount Baker Mining LLC series of videos. They have a turn key system, and they do permit clients to use it. I have no info re TNCs. Just call or email.

At a reasonable expected yield of .5 grams per pound, that should be around the 5 gram mark, if it's pure.

Yes, i have asked a quote from MBMM, if i`m not mistaken a few years ago it was 27k for a 200kg/h system for electronic waste, consisting of hammer mill and shaker table turn key system.

That is the closest you can get for a turn key full PCB processing plant, allthough that is just for mechanical separation, for refining you still have to go all the way with acids. See Jason from MBMM on youtube.

Also Kustommolds has a turn key system for ore processing, you`ll find him on this forum.

Be safe

Pete.
