I have 31 extender cards that I have picked up. Just want to know if anyone has refined anything like this. These are military grade extender cards from old avionics equipment. I have a guy from a military surplus store offering to pay $400 for a lot but these cards only make up half of the lot. Does there seem like there would be more than what he is offering in gold in these? I am still reading, learning, and gathering but have not attempted to refine anything yet so I am wodering if it would be more sensible to keep for when I do start.

military grade electronics is the best gold plating on electronics you can find. the cards you have have the same thickness as military grade finger connectors over the entire trace. others may be able to give specs on the cards but i have processed many just like them. the only difference in the cards i had was mine had a layer of tin over the gold traces for some reason. that is a very good find. calculate the total weight on the cards with gold traces as clean finger weight and that will give you an estimate of gold% on the cards

I like dissolving the pins on them, I save all the extender card's I run across, they can make troubleshooting equiptment so much easier.

Have you checked to see if selling these for use, would be more profitable?
I know they are for older style board's but there is still alot of older equiptment out there still in use.
