Hi All can Ferrous sulphate be used with HCL/Chlorox to precipitate gold instead of stinky SMB? Most of what Hoke talks about in her book is A/R and I know it works great with that I have used it many times but where I live nitric is very hard to obtain so the HCL/Chlorox method is a better refining method for me.

thanks

Are you saying that you want to substitute AR with HCL/Clorox? What type of material are you processing?

Depending on what you're processing you cant interchange these chemicals. Thats why I asked what material you have. If it's anything other than gold foils or already precipitated gold powder dont waste your time.
