Just an FYI,
While ripping open some circuit cards from some ATM switches I have, I noticed that the fiber channel connectors have these little 4 legged gold buggers with a cap, under the cap it's also gold. I'd imagine that you would need a whole boat load to get any kind of yield, but you never know what guys have laying around in their basements.
