First gold!!!

Hey all, I know I'm new here, I've been reading all over the forum...thanks for all of the info, you guys are great. I've already learned a great deal...anyway, I've only had my detector for about a month, and only really used it like 3 times, the first time, I found 47 cents, all crap...a marble, some fake jewlry, and an old zippo style lighter, plated in a yellow metal, could be brass not sure...the second time I found 27 cents and some pull tabs...today, I only found one thing, but it was a 14 karat hoop earring! dang thing is already paying for itself...just thought I'd share...

Stay with it for a long time and you'll find bigger and better stuff. If there is a detector club near you, visit them and joining them would be exciting for you.

What detector are you using?

If you live anywhere near a beach go there. That's a great source for gold. I go to the New Jersy beaches occasionally and I've never come home without new gold in my pouch.
