flakes?

Hi to everyone,i got from my friend a lot of gold flakes and I would like to know if is worth it to refind it?I know I can not melt it .
Any answer is welcome.Thank you

Did your friend get them from Ebay? If so they probably aren't gold.

If these flakes are the same flakes that they are selling on ebay, dont waste your time. If they are foils from fingers spend some time reading here on the fourm and you'll find all the info you need. Make sure you read all the safty info BEFORE playing with any type of acid. No amount of gold is worth your life.

Thank you guys,for info,I m new in this about a year and first I read c.m.h. book and al forum in here,and honestly ,with out you and your posts in here I will not know what to do .i like the beauty of the proces and how it worth take a time and wait.The safety is first thing what al new guys should know.and especialy read read read and read.the knowledge is the gold what is the finaly product is pleasure.

Do you know where the flakes came from? Where they from Ebay? Or are they from scrap computer fingers?

I called him and he said from ebay,I seen the flakes there too but never pay atention to that cause it was so cheep to be from gold.
