Floating Gold

I dropped several batchs of AuCl and after the gold dropped it had a thin film of what looked like fine gold powder on surface and could not get it to sink in the solution .Should i add some soap or what .I searched the forum and found no answers under floating gold.Any help would be appeciated .

Get you a very small drop of dawn dishwashing liquid and apply it to the top of your solution and stir gently just the top and it should solve your problem. If it dosen't completly take a spry bottle and spray a light mist of water to drive them under and they should settle.

I tried it today on another batch and wirked like a charm .Thats why i come here .Ya'll the pro's we the peons and learn somthing new every day
