For lack of a better description I have collected about 4 ounces of raw gold mash.

I am about to dissolve the mash to leave behind the smaller less valued additions such as soldier shield and plastic bits that made it into my filters.

I have run the mash many times through an AP bath to help remove the left over copper and nickle, my solution is mostly the sparkling yellow from adding he 3% peroxide.

After I dissolve my Foils and drop using SMB or Urea? I should expect a black powder to result?

And is this black powder ready to be smelted?

Sorry for the lack of introduction, but I live by the philosophy that one should read first, then sound like the fool. :D

Silverfox,

After dissolving your mash in HCl-Cl just filter it until completely free of sediment and particulate then drop with SMB. Urea is not needed.

The resulting brown powder can be boiled in HCl then rinsed several times with water and melted or refined a second time around if you like.
