Hi I found this on a trip to N. Ga.
Looks like gold to me.
Went to a mine tourist thing, you get a bucket of sand and rocks.
Question can I just use a hammer?

Looks like pyrite, but as Darkthirty says, take a hammer and bash it.
If it cracks it is not Gold.
If it flattens it gets interesting;)

Wow amazing
Is well known that N. Ga
have gold ,the first gold rush was around NC,SC,Ga and N. Alabama.

By some miner this ore is consider high grade.

for me ,if i found those Ore is treasure

if you notice those dark bands or vein in the rock where You can see the chalcopyrite
those dark vein have gold
can be microscopic and or very fine gold

but it have gold for sure.

so is your choice to crush or not

If I were You I keep for my collection.

and I will crush the other rocks that you have
and panned to see what it have.
