I am seeking data on determining the value of these bars depicted in the photo below.

We have 22.9 pounds of these gold plated copper bars that came from a scientific type setting. I am unsure of what they are used for exactly or how they were plated, but the gold is very dull colored and the plating appears to be fairly thick. Some of them are turning black. I am unsure why. I would like to ebay them and am trying to sort out a fair price.

The copper value alone is worth almost $70(here).That is an awesome find.It may be worth more than the PM + copper value simply because of what it is.You could also try to find someone with a spectrophotometer that could tell you the exact amount of gold contained.

That's a good sign. Scientists usually slather on the gold since they're not limited by economics (only by how many grants they write). If this came from a national lab or from a big RO1, you're probably in the money. I've seen millimeters thick gold that was vapor deposited. Stuff was easy to remove with a stainless steel spoon...

Good candidate for a CN strip.

Might be able to get it all off with a sharp cold chisel.

Yea, you cant see it in the photo, but the edge of a missing spot of gold does look thick enough to chisel. I will try that. I am dying to know how much it ends up being.
