Gold powder from pins

Should i wash them in Nitric or HCL and how many times before dissovleing. I am about to drop gold Ye Haww.Gonna dissovle with HCL Clorox and drop with SMB .Should i dilute the liquor or add the SMB s to it straight.Not alot maybe 2 grams of gold.Help me with this next step

If it were precipitated perfectly there would be very little to see.

Sorry i wasn't specific but i meant 2 grams of gold from 400 grams of pins. I started out with small batches and saw no result but done it all and got something to show for it.Another problem i am haveing is i made nitric acid with the sodium nitrat and H2SO4.Cooled of the liquid till it was 0 c and had alot of precip .I used ther nitric and i am haveing alot of white precip in my reaction beakers .Could this be i didn't wait long enough for the acid mixture to precipt the rest of the chrystals
