Hello.

I used concentrated HCL and 3% H2O2 to each some gold ore. I also used Sodium metabisulfite.

The visible gold precipitated as brown mud that dried as pure gold powder.

The leached ore itself precipitated gold as an electric yellow paste.

Does the AP method produce gold chloride like the AR process.

If I dry the yellow precipitate as a powder, how do I refine it?

Can it be smelted or do I have to further process the yellow precipitate first?

I got 1-2 ounces of gold powder (red/yellow).

I also got 20-30 ounces of the yellow paste.

Thank you.

The yellow precipitate seen in the photo is not of gold origin. Check the ore for other ingredients, e.g. copper
