Gold Refining By George Gajda

Just wondering if anyone has a review on "Gold Refining" by George Gajda. It seems a lil rarer than Hoke's book, and maybe for good reason. Is it any good? For $77, I'de hope so.

Gosh, you'de think there would be someone publishing these books today, since they (speaking of hoke) are so invaluable to the refiner. Maybe there are, I dont know, but I have yet to come across a recent copyright date. How come no one is printing new books on the subject either? Trying to keep a good secret just that I guess.

This book is poorly written. C.M. hoke and C.W.Ammen have better books by far, and more thorough. This question was answered somewhere else in this forum also. If you read on further you might find it.

I bought a copy of his book years ago, when it was first introduced on the market. I resent the price I paid then, and wouldn't dream of buying one for the price you quoted. It is a very poorly written book.

As far as I'm concerned, the book isn't worth the value of the paper on which it's printed. I found a great deal of the "information" contained within to be in stark contrast to that which was in Hoke's book, from which I learned to refine. Hoke's information carried me for better than 20 years, so I know it's good.

I wouldn't want a copy of the book if it was free-----for good reason. You don't need misleading information whey you're trying to learn refining. There's already more than enough BS circulating. Stick with Ammen or Hoke.

I also have a copy of Gajda's book. I agree with Harold. Hoke is far better.
Most of Gajda's book was oriented to the cyanide processing of e-scrap.
