I Started a small sulfuric acid stripping cell . I’m running 1/20 12k GF items and pins that had some gold , tin and a small copper coil around them . I Used a fiber glass plug to filter the gold from sulfuric acid .

Your basket can form a Faraday cage and stop the stripping process. If you run into problems, try opening the baskets side nearest your lead.
But it looks like it's working nicely.

I have to say the opposite to debunk that. A closed cage will not interfere with proper stripping.
I have seen this statement several times and had to react, it is simply not true.

I have even stripped kilo's full of small items in a small copper round bowl (formerly known as a copper cup from the second hand store, where i punched holes in) with only small 1mm holes in the bottom and sides to let the current in and the acid flow out when I lift it to shake for better contact or to replace the content.
It stripped all the parts that were not fake gold plated. The edge of this cup was completely above the acid at all times.

Current always finds a path of the lowest resistance: that is through the acid looking for a tiny little piece of gold plated surface that is screaming "over heeeeeree, come make contact!!

A Faraday cage is meant to keep out electromagnetism to avoid interference with your radio communication devices and to have a zero interference environment. It will not stop the electrons in a liquid. A Farady cage will protect your equipment from an EMP or solar flare as well.

So having that shallow basket tilted forward towards the anode, open on the front side: not necessary at all.

I have been using copper sheeting at the bottom of mine and a piece of lead at the surface. Mainly for watches and bands, but it seems to work very well this way. I stopped using a "shelf" type as well as a basket long ago, before running into a problem other than it being to small. If it works it works so use it as long as it works.

I do not think there are step by step instructions.
See what you can find by searching the forum.
There are at least several threads regarding this.
Even one about building a water-cooled one in mild steel.
