I also would like to know how to clean them to make them look there best too. Any info would be great.

Hi Eric, It is difficult to find prices on these old gold legged eproms, but one company dare to set a price. http://www.mendener-recycling.de/82. 130 Euro for a kilo.

They are pretty chips for sure. Cleaning them can be problematic as you can fairly easily
remove the markings from them with the wrong solvents. They are probably not processors
and that means that even though they look old, they are "support" chips and don't bring
the higher values the processors do.

Having said that, they can be sold one at a time or in small lots but it can prove to be a
pain the rear end to catalog them all, take pictures of them all, list them all, figure out
how to try and price them all, etc. You may want to just take a few more camera shots
of the group as a whole and list them up on ebay and save yourself a lot of time and effort.
You'll probably get bids from refiners and collectors there.

Good luck!

There are only about 3-6 that some collectors might want. And those will not bring much of a premium in price.

If you try to sell them to collectors you would need to have all of the legs straight with preferably no solder on them. Best thing I have found to clean them is WD-40. But wipe them off good when you are done so there is no residue.

Frankly..... you just "clean" them...... meanning the information stored on this chip....you expose them to UV.
As a cosmetise manner use C3H8O (in my country is called isopropilic alchool ....in used in electronic industry and is cheap and volatile).
Have fun.
