Been looking on e-bay lately. Are gold fingers seriously worth the prices that are being asked there. I mean wow! some are selling for a hundred bucks a pound or more. Is there truly enough gold in a pound of them to justify the return?

I've never seen a single pound sell for $200 or more.I have seen them sell for well over $100 a pound though.
The gold content varies, based on several factors. It could range from a trace amount,to over $200.

Maybe in some of the older ones, if they're closely trimmed and double sided, and if you ignore the cost of chemicals and your labor. There are a lot of people just going overboard on Ebay bids right now.

Considering you might get 2 grams of 24k gold per pound of trimmed fingers then gold value of a pound of fingers today is just about $100 after you deduct chem costs to process that pound. These are just guesstamits.
