I recently started a pawn brokers and gold buying location in the northeast! One of 2 in the state where I am and I have been dealing with GRC in Hempstead NY. I am a one man show and rarely have any time to drive to a location like GRC has in Hempstead. I usually send my metals by mail. I would like to hear if anyone has any past experiences with GRC and weather they were treated well!! I will not disclose my personal experiences up to this point. Just curious! Thanks so much guys!!

Am I reading this correctly?

You want the membership here to help you with feedback on their experiences in dealing with GRC, yet at the same time you insist you will not share your experiences with them.

Just checking.

I think he wants to see if he's getting fair treatment from GRC (comparing others experiences).

Yes' GOLDENCHILD. that's exactly the point of my post. Please, excuse me if anyone took my post wrong I was only trying to get some honest opinions without influencing or creating the opportunity for someone to give me a yeah I agree response! I was strictly trying to get an idea of the corporate identity in the eyes of proffesionals like myself and this is obviously a large community of professionals and hobbiest who would be able to help on this matter, is it not? THANKS GUYS SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION IF ANY WAS CAUSED!!!

Thriftpawn -

If ANYTHING you will get honest and uninfluenced opinions on here. Good or bad - about my company and other refiners on here as well - this forum is refreshingly open and honest about their opinion / experience.

I am sure you can appreciate Oz and Oceans comments in which someone (anyone) wants to gain knowledge but not share their own. --(in any aspect of life) I have found that you should and/or must offer something too (and in some cases, offer it first), instead of just take, take, take.

Like when I was a teenager and wanted to borrow my parents car, they would only let me borrow it if I did all my chores and filled up the gas tank. mutually beneficial

I think I understand THRIFTPAWN's position in this matter. Unless I missed something, what he was hoping to see was reports by those who have something to offer, good or bad, without leading them. It's too easy to jump on the bandwagon for or against something when lead.

I fully expect he would have shared his experience(s) in due time.

THRIFTPAWN?

Exactly what I was thinking. But I'm guessing he had an experience that was somewhat unsatisfactory or downright disappointing and not sure if it was just his experience. Maybe feeling he was possibly taken advantage of, or he would'nt be asking but promoting. Seems no one else has dealt with them/spoken up so I would be interested in hearing THRIFTPAWN's experiece with them.

Lots of variables here.
A lot has to do with the management in the area you are in!
Under past local management I have a negative local report in that I was told one thing locally and then when it was shipped to NY and processed it came back different. Placer cons were sent in to have a free XRF analysis done, then was maybe gonna be $10.00 each and when it was all done and over I was billed nearly $400.00 for 5 samples. I didn't pay and avoided them for several years and then was told by current management locally that they had some issues with the prior manager? Back to the XRF analysis the guy took my whole sample till I asked him if it required that much, then proceeded to take about a tablespoon. These were sent off and I'm told that it scared the NY people with my high assay #'s that they decided to do fire assays on all of them without my consent. Current management locally seems very easy to work with.

Hello everyone I do do some business with Grc and the results are satisfactory but the time frame and confusion about it is
Very difficult but since there not use to doing what I send then a lot or as often as other stuff I guess it ok I'm happy with them.
