Hello, I am from Croatia and I am a big fan of black smithing, metal melting, pouring, of everything that is hot and dangerous...I love nature, hiking, and animals, love knives, space and so on, all though I am just almost 17. I saw videos of gold melting on youtube so I got interested. I would like to forge my own knife, and sinc I saw that you can extrect gold from computer parts I would love to decorate my handle with it.

Welcome, Strider.

There's a lot you can learn here-making the idea of using recovered gold very realistic.

I would encourage you to read Hoke's book, so you understand the fundamentals of refining and testing.

I'm very impressed with your command of the English language! Better than most folks that are born and raised with it as their native tongue.
