have any of you guys heard of the bacteria called cupriavidus metallidurans

Apparently this bacteria precipitates gold. Have any of you guys tried using it for your refining process. I read that it can take up to a week but it work better than something like sodium metabisulfite.
Tell me what's your opinion
 
What do you mean by "better"?

Smb already precipitates the gold fully, should your solution be properly denox'd.
Also does so quite selectively.
It seems smb is exponentially faster than this bacteria..

So, how is it better, exactly?
 
It's nothing new. There have been a couple of threads about it, though I don't know if they mentioned the bacteria by name, but if you followed the links you'd see it. Separating the bacteria's "poop" from the rest of the waste would seem to be the trick.
