My First Post.......
I was panning few yers ago here in southeast Pennsylvania, in a local supposedly OLD creek and kept getting a heavy silvery metal flake, in pretty mass quantity. Very easily panned as it was a heavy material, I have some here and need to know where to have it tested or is there a way I can do it at home? I had a local scrap yard use that expensive little gun, xrf?? maybe? to find out what it was and it could only identify Buxite... NOW, the flakes are heavy, metallic and are magnetic(ferrous). Im LOST on this one, and still have some here, I will try and post pics if I can get a good close shot. Help, anyone??? thanks in advance!
