How long have you been refining gold or have interest in precious metals? : off and on since 2009

First time poster long time reader. I want to thank everyone on the site for sharing their knowledge and expertise.
I initially started refining Silver and was able to process a good amount of beautiful silver crystals using a electrolytic cell. I have wanted to learn to process gold but never really had good lot of material to work with other than a couple of dozen pc cards and memory sticks in my PC parts pile. Recently I was able convince my boss to let me have some of the nonworking microwave radio equipment we were going to GIVE FOR FREE to the electronics recycler. So now i have some stock to experiment on.Needless to say I have made some messes and finally have a small success. here is a pic of my first BB, it is exactly 1 gram.It could benefit from a second refining and Iwas expecting it to be larger but I will take it for now.I have some questions but I shall post them in the proper section.
Again thanks to all that help make this forum a great fountain of knowledge and I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
