Wow!!! So much information. The reading has been amazing as well as the pictures. I read the forum while at work so the fact that the pictures are viewable is extra credit. No photo bucket stuff. I need to download Hoke but I am no where near ready to attempt any processes. I like someones quote "the gold isn't going anywhere" Then someone else said I could read for a year. I will try and post a pic of what I have to work with as far as gold later this evening.

Welcome to the forum. You're starting with the right idea.......know what you're doing BEFORE doing it. You have some decent material, but you will need much more. Keep reading and collecting and when you're ready, if you have questions, someone here will help. If in doubt, ask first before proceeding. It's always better to ask first than to try to straighten out a mess afterwards. This is the BEST place to learn and if you do your part, members will help you succeed.

It has been awhile since I have posted so here is an update for what ever it is worth.

My pile has gotten bigger but I am still collecting more material. I think about processes all the time. I realize chemicals in different products around me. I have shown my wife how complex but simple the methods of recovery and refining are if I start out the right way. She was a chemistry buff in her school days but just never thought about how to apply the processes to achieve anything. I am just learning about chemistry and everything is just clicking right along in my head.

I have an in ground swimming pool and as I am sure everyone knows taking care of a pool is a chemistry experiment in itself. I guess what really made it start clicking (besides this forum and Hoke) is that I found .02% HCL in some prescription eye drops, neutralizer in TUMS antacids just everyday items have really peaked my interest. Read the labels. Read everything.

Thanks for the site people, and good R&R results to everyone.
