I'm Adriaan. Im a 49 year old, I have about a year and a half of playing around with gold pans. I live in Edmonton Alberta. I'm interested in learning methods of little to no water (dry riverbeds, bars) My idea is that maybe those areas have been untouched. Cleaning up contaminated areas is also a area I would like to focus on. My hobbies include bicycle riding, maintenance, sewing, and playing Warcraft. I was watching a YouTube and seen a link and that's how I found this site.

Welcome to the forum I have been playing around with gold pans since the early sixties I call it that because gold panning is meant to be fun

I’m no expert on gold panning or gold prospecting but from watching more expert people doing so it appears panning helps locate probable areas to inspect further and without water dry blowing as used in Australia seems the way to go once you have identified a likely area.

I am not really a fan of dry blowing or dry panning but a lot of us old school prospectors bring are own water to pan
